CURRENT TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES AT COLUMBIA 

Full-Time and Part-Time Teachers 

The Child Development Center is hiring full-time and part-time teachers and assistants. We consider our teachers as co-collaborators and learners along with children and look forward to welcoming you as a new and energetic partner in our community where you will have the valuable opportunity to guide and invest in the lives of children. We offer a great benefit package (medical, dental, leave accrual) and Professional Development support to help you reach your professional goals. This includes opportunities to pursue a Child Development Credential (CDA) or Associate Degree free of charge (conditions apply).

Qualifications:

• Lead Teachers: A bachelor or associate degree with a major in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Assistant teachers:  A Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is preferred for the age group of children they are supporting. Good communication and teamwork skills are required.

Substitute Teachers

We are always looking for loving, enthusiastic and nurturing substitute teachers and welcome you to apply for both short and long-term opportunities. Our substitutes work with the teaching team to support the playful explorations, inquiries and projects happening in the classroom. Qualifications may include a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Good communication and teamwork skills are required. Part-Time Aftercare Assistants

We are looking for part-time aftercare assistants to help the preschool children who stay for aftercare engage in playground, craft and other fun activities. The part-time position is up to 10 hours a week. We are looking for Aftercare Assistants in Training to work 3-5pm or 4-5pm. Age required: 16 years old and older.
