ENROLLMENT IS OPEN FOR COLUMBIA'S CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER SCHOOL YEAR 2024-2025 ENROLL HERE
Our priority at Columbia is to create an environment for your student (7th - 12th grade) to experience the transformational power of Jesus and live as whole-life disciples. In short, we want your students to find an everyday faith for their everyday life. Your student is invited to come and make friends and build community with us, and find a place where they can ask ‘difficult’ questions in the context of meaningful relationships with fellow students and trained leaders. While we do not have all the answers, we can point them to the One who does!
At Columbia, we want your student to have THREE necessary experiences;
Love of God through worship,
Love for Others through serving, and
Love for self through small groups - these experiences are designed to assist your student on their discipleship journey and equip them with an authentic faith as they graduate high school.
To facilitate these experiences, your student will have the following opportunities:
Parenting Teenagers is an exciting phase of life and we know it can sometimes be a chaotic, crazy time in their lives. We welcome the opportunity to join you in your MISSION to disciple your student.
We'd love to send you a welcome gift and help you get connected to a small group of students.

SUNDAY MORNING SERVING
9:30am and 11:15am
SUNDAY NIGHT EDGE
301 N Washington St. 6:30-8:30pm
We believe that service is an essential part of discipleship, so on Sunday mornings, students will serve in one of our ministries and then attend worship during the hour they are not serving. Watch our latest series: LIKEWISE to stay up to date on our theological training for service.
EDGE is our new Sunday Night program where students can enjoy community, games, worship, large group teaching, and small groups. We would love for you to join our community and start building friendships!
Beginning September 10th, students will spend Sunday mornings serving in the main body during one hour and then attending one of the main worship services the alternate hour. The student ministry will have our main gatherings on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:30. Here, students will build community, play games, engage in worship, receive age targeted teaching, and conclude the evening in discussion with their small group.
Our EDGE initiative is designed to help students "follow Jesus to the edge of their comfort zones where they can have Energized Discipleship & God Encounters."
When students feel like the belong, feel safe, known, loved, and wanted, their hearts are positioned in such a way to encounter God and the transformative power of Christ Jesus. It is the goal of the Columbia Student Ministry to ensure every student experiences these 5 impacts for this purpose.

DNOW (Disciple Now) is an exciting "in-town" weekend retreat, giving students, grades 7-12, an opportunity to press pause in their busy lives and focus on their relationship with Jesus and one another.
Be Real--it’s not just an app, it’s a way of living life that can be extremely challenging, especially for teenagers. Living life with authenticity can be hard when the world around you has certain expectations and wants you to conform to those. But what would it look like to have authentic love, be your authentic self, and have an authentic faith? These are the questions we will tackle at DNow this year, it’s time to BE REAL!
Our DNow speaker this year is James Dick, who serves as the Student Pastor at Highlands Fellowship in Bristol VA. Students who went on the SWVA mission trip will remember hearing him speak on Sunday night at the youth gathering! Not only is James an incredible and experienced youth pastor, he and the Highlands student ministry will be partnering with us this year on our SWVA mission trip! This is an incredible opportunity to get to know James and hear a powerful word from God through him.
This is the perfect time to invite a friend! Even if they’ve never explored faith, everyone can understand the struggle of living with authenticity. Guest friends can register separately with their email, they don’t have to be part of Columbia or Realm!
Deadline to register is March 10!
The Southwest Virginia Mission Trip is an opportunity to love others as Jesus has loved us. Work Teams, comprised of students and adults, provide basic home repairs and build access ramps for elderly persons and persons living with disabilities. Under the supervision of a site leader, students will work as a site team, learn to plan the construction project, perform any demolition required, construct the project, and serve an individual/family in the name of Jesus. All students serving on site work teams must be completed
7th -12th grade.
The trip is scheduled for July 20-26th, 2024
Be on the lookout for registration coming soon
