Q: How is faith a part of camp?
A: Children and familiesof all faith backgrounds are welcome at Camp Columbia! Children will hear stories from the Bible, be invited to pray before meals, and learn Scripture each week. Our faith informs all our decisions and is most prominently displayed in the way we treat others.
Q: What should my child bring to camp?
A: Water bottle, closed toed shoes, sunscreen, camp shirt and spending money (field trip days), towel and change of clothes (pool days), and a backpack.
Q: What should my child NOT bring to camp?
A: Please leave electronics, cameras, expensive items, and trading cards at home. Children ARE allowed to bring personal items from home like books, crafting supplies, and small toys to use during certain times of the day. Camp Columbia is not responsible for lost, broken, or stolen items.
Q: What meals and snacks are provided at camp?
A: Camp Columbia provides one (preschool camp) or two (grade school camp) snacks and a hot lunch every day. You can find the menu for the month on the parent resource page. If your child has an allergy and needs to pack their own lunch, that's fine. Please keep in mind that we are a nut-free facility.
Q: What is the refund and cancellation policy for camp?
A: Any weekly registrations cancelled prior to May 1, 2018, will receive a full refund less the weekly registration deposit. (Weekly registration deposits for Grade School Camp are $130 and for Preschool Camp are $100.) After May 1, 2018 all cancellations are non-refundable. Registrations may be transferred to another week, provided there is availability, with no charge. If a cancelled registration can be filled from the wait-list, a full refund will be processed less a $10 processing fee.
