Be a Provider by providing equipment, materials and/or supplies necessary to support the many ministries of Columbia. And - be sure to view this page often for updates as needs are posted as they arise.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY RESOURCE ROOM
- We are collecting items for the Children's Ministry Resource Room and we are certain that you have what we're looking for sitting around your house. Click here to view our list! Please bring items to the Resource Room Hall (on the ground floor near the CDC classrooms) where we are set up to receive them.
- FRESH VEGETABLES
- Clients enjoy fresh produce. So, as you plant your gardens, please consider planting an extra plant for the families we serve at Columbia's Food Pantry. For more information, please contact Georgi Hall.
- WEEKLY NEEDS
- Weekly needs of the pantry are posted on this website.
- SPEND YOURSELF GARDENS
- Columbia Baptist Church started two gardens during the spring of 2010 for the purpose of “demonstrating to our food pantry clients how to grow fresh vegetables and herbs on their own to supplement the grocery items they receive from the pantry" and to supply our food pantry with limited herbs and vegetables to distribute through the pantry. These original gardens are located in front of Columbia @ Crossroads and in Fairfax County’s Pine Ridge Park. Since 2010, we have added two gardens at the Falls Church Campus, one in the vacant lot by our 301 Building (301 Garden) and one near our Child Development Center (CDC Garden). Supplies needed are: garden tools, bamboo poles, gloves and pots. Questions regarding this project may be addressed to Georgi Hall.
