Food Pantry Updates

Fairfax-based nonprofit Food for Others [link], the largest direct distributor of free food to people in need in Northern Virginia, is working with the Columbia Food Pantry. In July, Food for Others began donating extra food – including fresh produce – to the pantry on Fridays in time for distribution on Saturday. This food commitment will increase the pantry’s ability to serve the people of Falls Church and provide more nutritious food in their weekly sacks.

Can you help with this generous donation? On Fridays between 11am and 1 pm, the food pantry needs volunteers with vans or trucks to pick up food from Food for Others at 2938 Prosperity Ave. in Fairfax.
