Rock & Roll

The origins of contemporary secular and Christian music, are found in the traditions of form and harmony which have appeared in popular songs throughout the history of Western music. This highly entertaining class, which is intended for intermediate and high school students, teaches the fine points of modern ensemble composition, arrangement, and performance in the “Rock and Roll” genre, with a strong emphasis on song writing. The students record their original music as a class project, and each student receives a CD containing the recording at the conclusion of the semester.

This is a one – hour group class that meets weekly.
