About Falls Church
“There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward those of your people who are poor and needy in your land.” Deuteronomy 15:11
Hunger and poverty may be difficult to see in Falls Church and the surrounding Northern Virginia communities. Yet, in Fairfax County - ranked 2nd nationally for highest median household income - more than 105,000 residents are at risk of or are experiencing hunger (U.S. Census American Community Survey 2007 and U.S. Census 2000).
Every one of us can do something on behalf of our hungry neighbors to make a God-honoring difference in their lives. How are we portraying our faith in action in our own back yard?:
