2015 Monterey Woodcutting Trip

October 9-11, 2015, Highland Baptist Church

Join members of Columbia and Highland Baptist in Monterey, Virginia for a weekend of fellowship and splitting wood!  The community welcomes us each year as we help them prepare their homes to keep warm during the winter season.  Families and friends are welcome.  

What is expected
Cut, split, haul, and stack wood used for heating and in some cases for cooking by families in Highland County located in the southwest section of Virginia.

Men without their spouses sleep in the Highland Church building.  Families and single ladies are welcomed into the homes of church members.

Chain saws, wood cutting equipment, axes, mauls and pickup trucks

2016 Mission Trip to India

If you are interested in joining Dr. Baucom in February 2016 and visiting the three child development centers please contact Rachel Eckard.

2016 Mission Trip to Haiti

Columbia will be hosting a Mission Trip to Haiti in May 2016.  Dates are TBD. The purpose of the mission trip is to:    

  1. Be with and minister to the people of Savane Plate, Haiti.
  2. Encourage, equip and be inspired by the church in Haiti.
  3. See the life-changing impact being made by the project work occurring through Columbia’s partnership with World Vision.
  4. Meet your World Vision sponsored child.

Participant trip cost is approximately $2,000.
