Young Couples Department
Sundays, 11:5am, Room 309
The Young Couples Department brings together two Ignition Groups whose mission is to, “Passionately pursue Jesus Christ through community, discipleship and service”. We believe it is important to cultivate a caring community that provides members with a space where they feel cared for, grow spiritually and have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships.
By studying scripture through in-depth and topical studies, our desire is to be transformed as we discover how to apply God’s word to our lives. We believe transformed lives respond to God’s grace and love by serving Him and others. Each class is comprised of couples in their 20’s and 30’s; one class with many members who have recently started their families.
Sundays, 9:45am, Room 140
Our Ignition Group, Carpenter's Bench, is a gathering place for people who enjoy each other's company, and encourage spiritual growth. We have been meeting as a group since 1995, and still have many of our original members. Beyond the Sunday morning time, we get together socially to maintain our relationships, and provide support for each other as a church family. We study scripture interactively, using the church-wide shared curriculum, with an emphasis on discussion and application to our own lives. We challenge ourselves, as well as recharge our spiritual batteries together, with a goal of helping each of us walk closer to God while out in the secular world. We encourage each other to move forward and be active in our spiritual walk. Many of our group members serve throughout the church on Sundays in other teaching and support roles. We always have an open chair, along with coffee and doughnuts!
